Lateral violence is displaced violence (including anger and rage) directed at family members, friends, colleagues, or peers within our communities, rather than toward adversaries. The survival and coping skills we develop in the first seven years of life become the tools we rely on as adults.
This reflective, experiential-based gathering helps participants understand how individual triggers and coping mechanisms manifest in our personal and professional relationships. Through discussions, activities, and videos, participants are encouraged to look inward and build healthier strategies for navigating life’s challenges and dealing with relationship stress.
