Lateral violence is displaced violence (such as anger and rage) directed at family members, friends, colleagues, or peers within our communities rather than towards adversaries. Humans develop vital survival and coping skills in the first seven years of life. These coping strategies are the same tools we turn to as adults.
This reflective, experiential-based gathering is designed to assist participants in understanding how individual triggers and coping mechanisms play out in our personal and professional relationships. Participants will be encouraged to look within and craft new tools to navigate life’s challenges. The group will discuss and develop healthy ways to deal with relationship stress through discussions, interactions, and videos.
