Ember of Hope Counselling and Training Services is a transformative healing organization founded and led by husband-and-wife team Janine (Dakelh/Wet’suwet’en) and Richard Sampson (Gitxan). We are based on the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh, and work with groups across British Columbia.
Our primary work is through Gatherings, where we facilitate healing from grief, build hope through self-awareness, empower lateral humanity, prepare people in suicide prevention and intervention, and support Indigenous trauma-informed practice and care.
Since 2022, we have equipped more than 1,600 people from 24 communities to learn, experience, and integrate new knowledge into their lives.
